Singles Boards - Your Chance to Shine 

What is a Singles Board?


Singles boards (8 and 9 Ball) are your individual opportunity to advance to the National Championships with APA.  Winners at the National Singles Championships are based upon 8 Ball brackets for 2-3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.  9 Ball brackets are 1-3, 4-5, and 6-7, 8--9.
 
Winners of a singles board are automatically qualified to play in the next Regional competition with Regional winners advancing to Las Vegas.  At the National tournament, players are grouped by their skill levels and ONLY play players in their tier.  There are no 3s playing 7s.
 
Skill level 1, 2 and 3 players!  Your odds are 1 in 15 at Regionals of making it and they are 1 in 40 to win at Nationals.  YOU HAVE THE BEST OPPORTUNITY OF ANYONE TO BE A NATIONAL CHAMPION!!! 

 
 How does a Singles Board work?

A singles board is basically a single elimination tournament with a maximum of 8 players. 

 
 

Singles Boards Cost for Tarrant County APA Players ONLY. If a player is not on an active Tarrant County APA team, the cost may be higher depending upon the number of players on the board.

Tarrant County APA has agreed let the players select the cost of single boards.

Decision must be made before play begin.

Non-Tarrant County Player cost:

If 8 people are on a board will be a flat $25. The winner will not be responsible for any other cost, even if they do not play in Tarrant County.

Every attempt is made to group players of like skill levels together on a board so the competition is equal with players having a better opportunity to advance and a more enjoyable experience.
